Carbon Black drawings?

Can anyone point me to plans or drawings for a carbon black hopper? Asking for a friend who wants to scratchbuild one in S scale.

The May 1993 Mainline Modeler has plans for a carbon black car. These are the earlier 3,000 cubic foot type. There also was an article by Eric Stevens in an early MR that has VERY basic plans and was reprinted in the Easy to Build Model Railroad Freight Cars book from Kalmbach (1971). Richard Townsend

Is there a reason you're not seeking a Rail Shop Models kit for a Cabot Carbon Black car? They did two versions, early and late.

You are aware, I presume, that someone offered a resin kit for the Cabot Corp. carbon black cars. If memory serves I believe it was Steve Funaro of F&C.

Don,
There are multiple models of AC&F carbon black hoppers in HO, including the very dated NEBW resin (F&C), the updated F&C kit, the injection molded Rail Shop Inc. styrene kit, and the Overland brass model. These are discussed extensively in our archives.
However, the question was asked because the list member wants an S Scale car, so none of these help.
