It isn’t that simple. Railroads sometimes used several brake types on the same series of cars. CB&Q could use Ajax, Miner, Universal, and Equipco on the same series. Same with trucks. Your best approach is to hold you Equipco brake wheels until you need them for a specific car series. Of course, you also need the housings for each type of brakes, not just the wheels. You don’t want to put an Equiipco wheel on an Ajax housing.

These assemblies include the housing, chain, rod, fulcrum, chain and rod in one piece and the wheel as the second piece. I cut the rod at the clevis to shorten it as needed. To do this, you drill a hole in the clevis, insert the shortened rod, and glue.
