Since I have four refineries in the territory that I model, they, and the refineries that they get their feedstock from or send it to are of interest to me.  Also, a lot of product was shipped to the Pacific during WWII, providing additional interest in the origin of the tank cars.  Stimulated by a post on the STMFC list, I obtained and transcribed the USDI Bureau of Mines Information Circulars that bracketed the war years and transcribed them into a spreadsheet.  I also added railroad information from the 1944 List of Open and Prepay Stations.  I documented this in a blog post at US Refineries in the 40’s
