Walthers freight car decals

Alex Schneider

I have a set of Walthers decal 49-4, a combination freight car decal set for Erie cars with yellow lettering. The package includes two small sheets with black and white Erie decals, two with Erie reporting marks, number jungle and logo printed in yellow, and one sheet XD 552, also in yellow, with a variety of other lettering...capacity, load limit,  etc. Although there are blocks of data for a variety of cars, there is only one of each type so it is not possible to letter both sides of the car. Walthers hasn't made these decals in many years, has no back stock, and doesn't know if this is normal.

If anyone else has such a combination freight decal set, regardless of road, I would appreciate knowing if there is a single data sheet or two.

Thanks

Iirc there are 2 sheets of data in each pack, but my Walters details are all out of their packets now. They are usually printed legibly rather than to scale. Other brands of decal are better for scale accuracy.
