What Value Does An Incomplete Model Train Freight Kit (Ho Scale) Have?

Charlie Duckworth

You mentioned hardware being removed so not sure what that covers but if the ladders, doors, underframe, brake components are still with the kits you should find a a buyer.  You might consider selling them as a lot as well.

Good luck.

Only one way to find out -- Offer them for sale on Ebay, and see what you get.

The absence of trucks and wheels would not bother anyone on THIS mailing list, since the trucks
are most likely not prototypically correct for the particular car. (Not a fault of the kit, but railroads
bought trucks according to their preferences.)

Greetings,

I have a number of Brunchline’s Blueprint Series without truck assemblies (wheels, frames and hardware) also some without weights.  These were robbed for lessor complicated models.  Other than that the kits are complete for assembly.  Yes sometime things happen that are stupid.

Do the kits have value to Railroad Modelers?  Have they lost value and would that value be 70%, 50% or 40% of the complete kit as from the manufacturer?

Thanks
