Experimental Roller Bearing Arch Bar Truck
Claus Schlund \(HGM\)
Hi Eric, Bob, and List Members,
For many years, near the former P&LE station in downtown Pittsburgh, there was a steel plant bottle car that had roller bearing arch bar trucks under it. The car was not really on display, it looked like it was part of a rolling stock collection that was being stored. That equipment disappeared many years ago

The Wheeling & Lake Erie had several cars with roller bearing arch bar trucks. They served a Timkin plant in Canton and allowed use of a few cars for testing. These cars did not go off line as few shops could service the bearings.
