Buckeye Cushion Ride Trucks on Freight Cars
Again, these are PRR 2D-F24 Not 2D-F4. I cannot find a Diagram for these on the PRR Railfan.net website. They are Described as " Buckeye Cushion Ride"
I am Assuming that they were Not a Standard PRR Truck as the 2D-F8 and 2D-F12 was.
Eric
Richard Hendrickson’s various truck documents id’s the Bowser truck as 2D-F8.
From MRH
And his model truck document
Although you can note a variation in the contour of the top of the frame where the Bowser truck has a bump up that doesn’t appear in the prototype photo.
Plus the PRR used a variety of bolsters with the truck. Ted Cuotta discusses this truck in more detail on his blog post
Prototype Railroad Topics: The enigmatic PRR 2D-F8 truck (prototopics.blogspot.com)
According to Rob S’s PRR site, the 2D-F4 truck had a similar look with a different spring pack arrangement
Hope this helps.

Tim,
That looks more like a 2D-F4 than a 2D-F8 to me.

Do you have a reference photo of the truck? This PFE reefer rides on 2DF8 trucks (as far as I know) and I've seen
more than one type of truck applied to X37b's.

Would anyone know what other Railroads or Freight cars that used Buckeye Cushion Ride Trucks other than the PRR 2D-F24 (X37b, X38a) and N&W (B-5)?
