HO AAR trucks
bill woelfel
I need trucks for an ATSF Fe-15 auto box. Richard Hendrickson's book on the cars specifies "AAR standard design cast steel w/integrally cast journal boxes". Looking at his article on freight car trucks that I'm sure everyone here has, I can't find these listed. Can someone shed some light on what I need? Thanks, Bill W

In those years Santa Fe liked trucks with the Barber Lateral Motion Devises. Check out Tahoe Model Works' 109/209 trucks.

Brian, the Santa Fe Fe-15 cars had trucks without spring planks. Otherwise your truck is very similar. On 10/26/2022 2:28 PM, brianleppert@... wrote: In those years Santa Fe liked trucks with the Barber Lateral Motion Devises. Check out Tahoe Model Works' 109/209 trucks. --

But Tim, my truck has the BLM detail. Which is more important?

The planks are too obvious in my opinion. But I guess it's six of one, half dozen of the other. Kadee "Bettendorf" attached On 10/26/2022 2:36 PM, brianleppert@... wrote: But Tim, my truck has the BLM detail. Which is more important? --

Looking again at photos in Richard's book, the Fe-15 cars had trucks with spring planks.
