Yes, but the rib is the wrong shape for the rib in the original post which is narrow in the middle with flared ends. It's a pattern seen on some steam era gon ends.
I believe the rib pattern of the Cannon end is entirely post steam era.
Look at one of these "bifurcated" ends from the inside and you will discover a really familiar shape. I would think of these as reversed stamped Dreadnaught ends.
