IDENTRIFYING AN END SHOT OF WHAT I BELIEVE IS A USRA GONDOLA

Can anyone confirm that this tis indeed a USRA gondola?

Also on the brake step there are two rivets.I have seen this nnumerous brake steps.  Does
this indicate a wood brake step with a metal frame?

Thanks for any help:

Bill,

I believe the "rivets" you are seeing on the brake platform are actually carriage bolts.  You can just make out the nut on the bottom of one of them on the right side.  Carriage bolts are often used when attaching wood to a metal support surface.  The square shoulder under the round head of the bolt "bites" into the wood and prevents the bolt from turning.

Quite possibly USRA, yes. Wood platform and looks like steel L brackets underneath.
