IDENTRIFYING AN END SHOT OF WHAT I BELIEVE IS A USRA GONDOLA
Quite possibly USRA, yes. Wood platform and looks like steel L brackets underneath.

I believe the "rivets" you are seeing on the brake platform are actually carriage bolts. You can just make out the nut on the bottom of one of them on the right side. Carriage bolts are often used when attaching wood to a metal support surface. The square shoulder under the round head of the bolt "bites" into the wood and prevents the bolt from turning.
