I have two RCW SHPX 10k insulated tank car kits. I intend to keep one in plain black SHPX colors, but I'm wondering if the tank itself can be used for other prototypes. Overland made a very similar tank car (OMI 3133) with full dome platforms, which was mistakenly labeled as an 8k tank car. However, Richard Hendrickson has stated that DuPont and Mathieson had cars like the OMI tank that had dome platforms. Does anyone know about other appropriate prototypes for the RCW 10k tank?
