L&N 11754
It would appear that the L&N had a number of cars similar to 11754. Here is the folio sheet
11754 appears to come from the last batch built in 1923 by Chickasaw Ship Building and Car Company, a subsidiary of US Steel in Fairfield Alabama. This was precursor to Pullman Standard’s Bessemer, Alabama plant.
Here is a builder’s photo from the ACF build of 1921. From the Westerfield Disk.

actually, that is a lot of help Steve - thanks! What i notice is that the cars bear significant similarities to the Accurail 1300 series kits. There are lots of significant detail and structural differences that would take some thinking, but that is a long way closer to a project i can tackle than I started yesterday, lol!
