Based on the repack dates, I think this film was probably taken in 1952 or early 1953.
There are some interesting tank cars at 2:36. They look like a kind of GA Type 30, but I've never seen this dome platform design. Does anyone know anything else about these cars or who ran them? -Phil Lee  |

There was a quick glimpse of a freshly painted SFRD reefer which showed the newer red-orange color and a B & O wagon top that is almost black with a new paint out for reweigh. Of course some nice centercab footage.

Given the film was taken in the early 1950s, Santa Fe was not using the darker orange paint scheme on its reefers at that time. The change to orange was between 1961 and 1962, per the John B Moore Jr. Santa Fe Mechanical Reefer book.
