SAL AF-4 Kitbash

A me-too kitbash, inspired by Charlie Duckworth's recent post showing SAL's interesting auto car prototype, finely modeled.
Following Charlie's lead, the carbody is a Kadee 50' PS-1 kit with 7' doors. Carbody changes included eliminating the bowtie roof stiffeners from the last panel at each end of the roof and the six small rectangles at the top of each end, and adding the modified sidesill and door guides. The seven-panel Superior doors are from Southwest Scale Productions, and decals are from National Scale Car Co. nee Speedwitch.
With a 1948 build date, I wanted to model the car as-built for my circa 1950 era. SAL guru John Golden to the rescue with painting advice and photos (thanks, John!), indicating black ends and roof for the AF-4's as-built, and the brownish Scalecoat2 Boxcar Red for as-built paint. The model is lightly weathered.

LOL, glad to see this; I was starting to wonder about my eyes! Its a very good looking model, and I especially like the light weathering.
