Stock car model identification

Hi List Members,


For those modeling in the correct scale, the car is available in RTR plastic... see attached image. I made a few minor improvements on mine, but it is not radically different than what came out of the box.

Prototype is in Gregg's Train Shed Cyc #36,fig.200-201, which in turn is from the 1919 CBD.

The sliding feed doors are what I like about it. Gives the car a very rustic appearance. I seem to recall a 50s shot but it might have been late 40s of a stock car (not this prototype I assume) still with the feeding doors.

Ambroid probably got information from Car Builder Cyclopedias!  A photo and drawing, plus ORERs would
answer the rest.

Some time ago, I found this model at a swap meet. It was so nicely built, I bought it. Ever since, I have wondered if it was a kit, or scratch built. Does anyone recognize it?
