SANTA FE STDCK CAR QUESTION
WILLIAM PARDIE
Thanks Charlie:
I hope that you are surviving the horrendous weather we are having this year.
I'm guessing that I will have to move the end placard and add end ladders.

Bill I looked harder at car Ft-N 59150 and it does still have the drop bottom doors and probably the roof hatches. It was only upgraded with letter boards on the side.

Subject: [RealSTMFC] SANTA FE STDCK CAR QUESTION
I purchased this slight out 0of focus (Sorry) Westerfield Santa Fe stock car a while back. The builder did a great job on the car, however, I want to update it with the later lettering scheme. I have a question before jumping in. Many ( if
not aol) cars in this series) were equipped with roof hatches and drop bottom floors for haling coke when cattle were not in season. My question is “ did these cars retain this feature throughout their lifetime>”
I appreciate any help:

Bill on the Sk-N when upgraded the roof hatches end dump doors were removed, but a few kept those upper side boards. Car 59533 got a radial roof not sure if they all did. Here is car 59150 on
9-1-1948.
