Another scratch built car, this time a flat car.  I designed the car in CadRail and used a laser cutter to cut the steel and wood sections of the floor, sub floor, center sill, and all of the cross members.  Adding the brake piping and levers was easy since all of the holes were cut ahead of time.  I was fortunate to find drawings of the cars, including detail drawings of all of the underframe parts at the GNRHS archives.

Sincerely,

Rich Remiarz

Thank you Staffan.  I took photos while I built these cars, so I will write articles in the future.

Great Job on those cars Rich! You going to talk about them at the ‘Modelers Retreat’ next month?

Rich, ditto Staffan's comment.  Thoroughly enjoyed the writeup and pictures, and look forward to more in the Modeler's Pages.
