Baltimore & Ohio Box Cars May 1938
Richard Wilkens
Recently I purchased 8 negatives off of Ebay that are of several B&O box cars at Richmond, WV in May 1938. Hope some will find these of interest.

I suspect the location was Richwood, WV, as there isn’t a Richmond in WV. This was deep in the heart of hardwood lumber country. The mill is long gone. The M-26c box car has KD brake hardware and in the original paint and lettering. The M-53 wagon top cars have Duryea cushion underframes and wear the latest B&O lettering. Yes, thank you. I've never noticed the taper at the top of those doors on the M-53 before. If i recall, my f&c wagon top's doors do not have that, I may need to consider surgery.
