C&IM coal gondola service?

Hello friends,

here is a video showing the SANTA FE at war:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggVR4nZ6OeY

The run-by at 7:20 has 3 of the distinctive large C&IM coal gondolas. I don't doubt that these cars would have been in interchange, but I personally only saw them in home-road coal drag service. What could have been the reason(s) for just a few of them running on other roads?

Many thanks and greetings

The run by of the freight with C&IM gondolas looks like the Santa Fe in Illinois - where I'd expect to see those cars.
