Has anyone received an invoice from Rapido re the X-3 tank car oder?

I paid my invoice on Thursday and was told  my order "will be shipped out to you early next week.."

Pierre (and others who received the tanks), is this true for all 6? I'm interested to see if it's an issue for the entire run.

I’d complain but the brain trust at Rapido would likely say something smarmy and just further annoy me

I paid my invoice on the 24th, but am not really surprised that they aren't here yet.  Except for Pierre, I think most of our orders require a border crossing.

I am more concerned about the crooked end-lettering because it speaks to overall QC issues.  Fortunately, I'm a bet-hedger, so I will be receiving two undecs and one lettered car.  So, at least 2/3 of my cars should have "perfect" lettering no matter what.  ;-)

Initially I thought it might be a scam and I checked with Rapido. They assured me it is not a scam. Things coming from Canada take a while. I don't expect to receive my cars for a couple of weeks.

Nooo..... I was just commenting on Pierre's report of a problem in this area.  Of course I will wait and see what's in the box of my one lettered car.  That's why I said "at least".

Not from Rapido, but I ordered 2 of the 1950s lettered cars from Walthers and they showed they shipped them today. A friend ordered the 1930's 6 pack from them over the weekend and they shipped Monday.

Erick, no one has suggested anything like what you're saying.

Pierre says that two cars of the six he has in hand have crooked end lettering + Dave is concerned about the crooked end lettering on two out of six (supposedly random) cars because it may indicate QC issues (which Rapido has a documented history of) =/= "you know your car's end lettering will be crooked."

I don't have my cars either bro. Probably will end up going the eBay route because at least there will likely be photos of the production models.

Mine shipped from Rapido this week.  I have a number of UTLX decals so it should be a quick fix.  Easier than the cross head guide for a brass consolidation  which I spent the past few days fabricating.

I preordered 3 from Trainworld when they were first announced.  According to the tracking number, they will be here on Thursday.  Rapido must have shipped to US distributors first.

I paid for a six pack eleven days ago. I was told when I paid I should have them in 7 to 8 business days. Since it is eleven as of today it has not happened.

And, never received a tracking number. Has anyone received a tracking number?
