Identifying a Milwaukee Road boxcar

George Courtney

I was watching a video on youTube and saw a steam era Milwaukee Road Boxcar than appeared to be one of the famous 1930's ribbed cars.  But it wasn't ribbed.  There were no tabs either.  Anyone familiar with this car or did my eyes deceive me?  Sorry, I lost track of which video it was. But I think it was on the New York Central in Ohio.

Thanks,
George Courtney

Identifying a Milwaukee Road boxcar
#714305 was a one of a kind round roof 40' XM built over a burned out composite XM.
6000-6499 were steel 40' XAs with no ribs
13000-13499 were steel 50' XAs with no ribs.

My memory is 6000-6499 disappeared quickly so I'm guessing they were rebuilt into something else.
