Does anyone know if drawings are available for this Lackawanna style caboose? Were these ever published in MR?

I think RMC did a pretty extensive article on these back in the 80's

if I'm not mistaken RMC had a feature about building said car in o scale which included O scale drawings. |

Gene Deimling built one, mostly from styrene; it may have been on his P/48 blog.

The February, 1952 MR drawing is Lacawanna 723. The steps and ladders are different than the Interstate caboose photo.

Geissel drawings were always nice and clear (he was an architectural draftsman by vocation) but he didn't always check his references against prototype photos. At the time, this was of less importance than it later became. Usually his dimensions are accurate,
but his details are not always equally so.

The July 2013 RMC had HO scale drawings by Chuck Yungkurth, showing both type of trucks used. Bud Rindfleisch |

If you plan to model this in HO scale, the kit is sold by Shortline Model Products, SP-19, and the trucks are sold by Labelle HO-801.
