Mantua "Vintage" Freight Car Trucks

I happened to look at an ad for some Mantua old time type freight cars and noticed their trucks (see attached example). The model itself is probably of little, if any value, but I am curious if their trucks are based on any prototype and if so how accurate or useful might be?

It appears that Mantua's portrayal of an early wood frame truck closely matches that of a very early PRR wood frame passenger truck.
