MRRX reefer

One of our members just finished a Mather reefer and was surprised to find
it came with a real wood running board, but plastic painted ice hatches. It
looks funny, but on the other hand, I've never heard of unpainted raw-wood
ice hatches???? Should the running boards be roof color? - John

Sorry to be a bother, but the door latch is black and I assume the rest of
the door
hardware should be black, too? It looks real funny this way, so if not,
then I would guess the latch should be body color? - John

I have no photo of an MRRX reefer, but the photos I do have of 36' Mather
(MUNX, HFPX, RPRX, etc.) refrigerator cars all show the hinges to be yellow
and only the door latch and drip rail to be black. Go figure Mather.
