NP 14000 & 10000 series boxcars & Rapido

Hi there,

Was just familiarizing myself a bit with these two classes of 8ā€™8ā€ interior height cars, and wondered - apart from the grab iron count (7 v 8), the door brace details and the car ends (Murphy v. Dreadnaught), are there any other important detail differences between the cars? Iā€™m thinking about whether a ready-to-run-bash (for want of a better term) is viable starting with the Rapido model and changing the details?

Was also wondering if anyone has removed and pushed the exposed portion of the side sill on the Rapido car, so it sits a little further inset from the wood sheathing? If so, what approach did you take?
