Screwup #1 - Chad Boas had a B&O 50' DD box car mini-kit at the St L RPM that looked interesting. Later I picked up a Branchline kit for $7. Then just recently RCW offered a ATSF mini-kit, I ordered that one thinking I could use the Branchline kit? Wrong! It needs a P2K kit. I was just at Trainfest and probably could have picked one up...Went to Caboose Stop Hobbies in Cedar falls Ia. the other day, went straight to their 'old stuff' shelf. Found two P2K 50' DD auto car kits. Yeah...Nah. Both had fixed ends...Oh well, there's a show in Albert Lea Minn. first of the month, might find one there?
Screwup #2 - Recently a friend thought it would be fun to spot a stock car sometimes when operating my "Karlberg" section. Spot finish-pickup last. Causing some serious head scratching. Picked up a CNW P2K single deck Mathers car at CSH for five bucks. Thought it would be nice to have a double decker too. At Trainfest I bought a CB&Q two decker for $10. Got home and saw it was painted Chinese Red with a reweigh of 64, way to new...So, at CSH the other day I spotted a Mathers line kit with a double decker car on the lid. Just what I was looking for. Got home and it's a single deck car. Didn't read the end of the box...Now I need to shed that CB&Q kit somehow...
Will I ever learn? Too late in the game to think I will,

Clark,
Which Branchline and P2K kits do you need? There were a hobby shops worth of unbuilt kits in Charlie's stash that I inherited. I'll check for it when I go back up there later this week.
