The short answer is probably yes.  We used this photo in the UTLX book.  FTX was a short lived mark as the company using it was formed to dispose of “war surplus” from WWI.  So, a more interesting question could be where did those cars go, as UTLX did not get them when they absorbed the Lincoln Refining Fleet.

Yes, and there are several messages in the archives concerning the Federal Tank Line fleet.  And, as Jim Gates told us in one such message, its fleet of 740 cars was absorbed into GATX in 1926.

Those cars would be hard to track down buried within the enormous GATX fleet.  Especially so in that the FTX cars are not in the 1919 tariff, so there is no "fingerprint" of shell and dome volumes to go looking for,.
