Seeking Atlas HO Scale Freight Car - UPDATE
As an aficionado of small, obscure railroads, I am looking for an HO scale 'steel rebuilt USRA' boxcar decorated for the Roscoe, Snyder & Pacific Railway in the orange, yellow and black paint scheme as done by Atlas some 15 years ago or so. UPDATE – I believe that my quest for the RS&P car has been satisfied by one of the generous members of this io. group. I would also like to thank the several other members who responded off list with photos of one of the cars in question and to inform me that a survivor exits in Delton Texas.
I was happy to learn on the last page of RPC #24 that these cars originally belonged to the C&NW. I was mildly disappointed to discover that they came to the RS&P in 1960, which is at the upper limit of the timeframe of interest to this group. That’s OK, I still like the cars and they were rebuilt from double-sheathed cars well within the steam era.

Mark, are you talking about double sheathed, or single sheathed rebuilds ? I am guessing you mean the double sheathed
rebuilds since RSP had some of those. Second hand yes, but I don't think from CMO-CNW. Those cars had at least two
styles of side sheathing (8 or 10 panels) with panels of varying width. The RSP cars have 10 same-sized panels. And I'm
pretty sure the CMO-CNW cars had Viking roofs, not the RSP Murphy (SRE) roofs. My guess is the RSP cars are ex-ATSF
Bx-32 or Bx-36 which makes a lot more sense, because ATSF was a connection.

It looks like I misread the table in the back of RPC #24, which specifically addresses rebuilt USRA double-sheathed cars. In taking a closer look at the table, it indicates that RS&P obtained one car (but doesn't indicate what the car number was) with 8 side panels, a Chicago Hutchins Viking roof and Youngstown doors from the C&NW in the 1960's.
So far, I have not found any other references to the origin of the RS&P cars, but if you think they may have come from AT&SF, I am willing to see where that trail leads. Thanks for your response!
