Southern Livestock Car 45650
Southern Livestock Car 45650 Car built by Ralston Steel Car Company. This was a 40-ton stock car new October, 1938. http://www.columbusrailroads.com/Ralston%20photos/ralston-130-1939-SOUTHERN.JPG Interior of this livestock car. The floor was concrete as wood wouldn't have lasted very long under the livestock. http://www.columbusrailroads.com/Ralston%20photos/ralston-129-1939-SOUTHERN.JPG Bob Chaparro Moderator Railway Bull Shippers Group |

Yessir Bob, I've got those photos as well and it is one of my bashing or building projects....someday. Tough with slated/open ends. Southern also had a truss rod version during this time as well. This is very similar to the Ambroid/Northeastern wood kit from probably the 1960's. Larry Wolohon
